A spoiler-light, source-checked roster

Suikoden Star Leap Characters

Meet the new village cast and returning figures without confusing an official story appearance with rarity, combat role, or banner availability.

Quick answer

The revealed Suikoden STAR LEAP characters combine a new central cast with familiar people from several points in series history. The Hero, Hisui, Hou, Shirin, Shapur, and Yua anchor the new story, while Odessa, Flik, Viktor, Humphrey, Varkas, Sydonia, Georg Prime, Luc, Viki, and the RanRinTen sisters connect it to earlier eras.

Story recruits, events, and gacha are different

Developer interviews say the new 108 base characters are obtained without gacha through story progress, exploration, and individual recruitment conditions. Events and character-focused gacha mainly feature people from earlier titles, while alternate versions of new Stars may also appear.

A returning character can also appear naturally in the canonical story when the time and location overlap known history. A story appearance and a collectible combat version are not the same thing. Cross-era party combinations belong to a separate dream-team feature unless the narrative confirms that meeting.

An official profile confirms that a character appears. It does not automatically confirm rarity, combat role, acquisition method, or final availability. Being a STAR LEAP original also does not by itself prove that the character is one of the new 108.

The Scarlet Moon era in Chapter 1

Chapter 1 explicitly places Odessa, Flik, Viktor, and Humphrey in the story before the Liberation Army reaches its familiar form. Varkas and Sydonia are also publicly profiled, although the English story page gives less detail about their precise involvement.

Their profile or narrative presence is confirmed. A complete English table separating story recruitment from event or gacha versions has not been published, so those acquisition labels remain open.

Other publicly revealed returning characters

RanRan, RinRin, and TenTen are the RanRinTen martial-arts sisters. RanRan seeks to restore their fallen house, RinRin is the responsible middle sister, and TenTen is the cheerful youngest. They first appeared as enemy encounters in Suikoden II rather than playable heroes.

Georg Prime, Luc, and Viki also have public profiles. Their presence links different parts of series history, but it does not prove that every possible cross-era party occurs inside the canonical plot.

What remains unknown

KONAMI has published biographies, story context, voice actors, and selected village functions, but the English archive is not a complete live database.

  • Levels, elements, ranges, skills, and rarity for every profile
  • Exact story chapter or condition for every recruitment
  • Current event, summon, reward, or alternate-version availability
  • Whether a profiled enemy later becomes playable
  • The complete public list of all 108 new Stars

How this roster is maintained

Names and biographies come from official profiles and story pages. Recruitment classification is limited to what KONAMI or attributed developer interviews state. Regional client observations can identify questions, but they do not overwrite the English source record.

This page is deliberately not a tier list. Strength rankings require verified live skills, team interactions, enemy matchups, and version-specific testing that is not yet stable enough for a responsible order.

108 questions, one fact at a time

Frequently asked questions

01Are all 108 Stars obtained from gacha?

No. Developer interviews state that the new 108 base characters are obtained without gacha through the story, exploration, and individual recruitment conditions.

02Are Odessa, Flik, Viktor, and Humphrey in the main story?

Yes. KONAMI lists all four among the main Chapter 1 characters. This confirms narrative involvement, but not every detail of playable acquisition.

03Do returning characters make every cross-era party canonical?

No. Some returning characters participate in the historical story. The dream-team feature also permits combinations that should be treated as gameplay unless the narrative confirms them.

04Is this a Suikoden STAR LEAP tier list?

No. This is a neutral identity and story-status reference. Rankings need verified skills, enemy matchups, and current-version testing.

05Are Ragnar and Aegir playable?

Their official profiles introduce them as members of an enemy organization. Playability, rarity, and acquisition remain unknown until a direct source specifies them.
